ORLANDO, Fla. (Aug. 19, 2025) — Florida Food Products (FFP), the world’s largest private equity owned natural ingredient supplier, sponsored and presented a $10,000 donation to Soldiers’ Angels during a military and veteran food distribution event held Friday, August 15 at the Lake Baldwin VA Clinic. The contribution provided vital food assistance to hundreds of veteran and military families in need and marks the latest milestone in FFP’s growing partnership with the national nonprofit.
The August 15 event marks the formal launch of FFP’s partnership with Soldiers’ Angels, following its announcement in May. The collaboration was created in response to a growing need among military households. According to a 2023 study, 15.4% of active-duty personnel experience low food security, meaning they lack consistent access to enough nutritious food for an active, healthy life.
The donation was presented during a ceremonial check handoff by FFP Chief Executive Officer Vince Macciocchi, who was joined by fellow FFP employees volunteering at the event, including Chief Operating Officer Ken Simone, President of Foodservice Chris Johnson, Vice President of Marketing and Communications Jillian Hermanowicz, and other members of the executive leadership team. In recognition of the company’s sponsorship and service, FFP was awarded the Golden Wing Award Certificate by Soldiers’ Angels.
“FFP is committed to stand beside Soldiers’ Angels to help ensure that no veteran or military family faces hunger,” said Macciocchi. “It’s deeply meaningful to see our employees step up and serve those who have served. This donation reflects both our company’s values and our commitment to nourishing communities, in every sense of the word.”
Chris Johnson, president of foodservice at FFP and an Army veteran, underscored the personal connection: “As someone who has worn the uniform, I know firsthand the challenges that military families face. Supporting Soldiers’ Angels is more than a corporate initiative—it’s a personal mission. I’m proud that FFP is stepping forward to ensure those who serve our country never have to worry about putting food on the table.”
Friday’s event provided pre-registered families with food assistance packages containing up to 75 pounds of groceries, including meat, produce, and pantry staples—enough to support up to two weeks of meals for a family of four.
“Working side by side with FFP has amplified what we can accomplish for veterans and their families,” said Amy Palmer, president and chief executive officer of Soldiers’ Angels. “Their dedication to nourishing communities aligns perfectly with our mission, and together we are ensuring that heroes and their loved ones receive the care and resources they deserve.”
